General Class Information

Wild in NH Workshop - Winter Workshop

Part 1 of 4 - Workshop Series for Educators

This workshop series is ideal for K-12 educators that are already involved with a NHFG program (ie. Trout in Classroom, trained in Project WILD)

In this workshop educators will learn ways to get their students engaged with the outdoors during the winter months. Educators will learn about the Community Snow Observation and the Winter Severity Index programs – both citizen science data collection opportunities. Other topics covered in this workshop include white-tailed deer, ArcGIS Online, and climate change – highlighting activities that can help your students better understand the vital role winter plays in a healthy watershed and its impacts on NH wildlife. This workshop will not only get you outdoors and get your hands in the snow, but we will also show you how to represent your classroom data with ArcGIS Online.

WHEN: Friday, January 31, 2025, 9:00am - 3:30pm

WHERE: Owl Brook Hunter Education Center, Holderness, NH

COST: $30.00 (instructions on how to pay will be emailed to you after you register)
