Learn the skills you need to become a first-time trapper and the many products produced after the animal is harvested at a free workshop being offered at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department’s Owl Brook Hunter Education Center in Holderness, N.H. The workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
At the workshop, Trapper and NH Fish and Game Furbearer Biologist Jacob DeBow will give participants a basic overview of New Hampshire’s furbearers and how to make some basic sets, as well discuss and show the many uses of furbearers after the catch.
The workshop will cover topics such as basic trapping safety, trapping equipment, selective trapping techniques, using best management practices, trap preparation and care and the many products utilized from these furbearers.
