General Class Information

WELCOME: 
Congratulations on taking the first step to your lifelong enjoyment of the hunting sports! Our goal is that you not only graduate but that you leave with solid foundations in firearm safety, hunting and outdoor skills. 

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Please Review the Course Syllabus in the links. 
Saturday and Sunday classes will be held at Alder Brook Sportsmen’s Association in Littleton, NH. 

Directions: 
Take I-93 to exit 41, Littleton.
Turn north on Cottage St. Go 0.7 miles to Main St. Intersection.
Turn right on Route 116 North.
Go 3.5 miles & turn left to Alder Brook Sportsman's Association.


PARENTAL APPROVAL FORM: If a student is under 18 years old a signed parental approval form must be handed in Saturday morning.

COURSE FEE: A course fee of ten ($10) dollars is to be paid prior to the completion of the course. 

STUDENTS NEEDING SPECIAL ACCCOMMODATIONS: Please contact Darrel Dietlein, Chief Instructor, by April 1, 2026 at the email provided. 

ATTIRE: Saturday and Sunday will feature several outdoor sessions. Please come prepared with proper attire and footwear (ie: no flip flops) as you will be outside rain or shine and hot or cold! 

LUNCH / SNACKS: Light lunch provided. Bring your own drinks & snacks Saturday & Sunday. 

ENTIRE COURSE: You must fully attend both sessions and pass the Written Exam and Field Exam to graduate. 

FIREARMS: Leave all personal firearms at home or in your vehicle. They are NOT PERMITTED during this Hunter Education session at Alder Brook facilities even if you have a carry permit! 

Pursuant to RSA 159:3 and RSA 625:11,V: Anyone convicted of a felony is not eligible to attend a Hunter Education Course. This includes the traditional class, online Field days, and any workshops where firearms, archery equipment or knives are utilized for educational purposes.  This does not include Trapper Education.

COME WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE. YOU WILL HAVE FUN & LEARN A LOT! 
PLEASE ARRIVE 10 TO 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF EVERY CLASS.
