General Class Information
The “Let’s Go Fishing” program is holding a Fly Fishing A-Z Program on Saturday 1 June and Sunday June 2 at Coleman State Park in Stewartstown N.H. This two-day class is limited to 18 participants, and registration is on a first come first served basis. To reserve your spot, you will need to registered. The class is open to anyone age 13 years old and over, however those 16 and under must accompanied by an adult. All fly fishing equipment and gear is provided; however, participants are welcome to bring along any personal gear as well. No fishing license is required while taking part in this program.
This weekend long fly fishing program is designed primarily for first time fly anglers and beginners. The program will cover the basics of equipment, fly casting, stream ecology, knot tying safety and fish identification. This program also features a mentored “on the water” fishing experience with instructors as well.
Over the past ten years, the Fish and Game Department’s “Let’s Go Fishing” program has taught thousands of children and adults to be safe, ethical and successful anglers. The program is federal funded through the Sport Fish Restoration Program.
Participants are responsible for their own food and lodging for this fly fishing program
