General Class Information
Day 1 of Hunter Safety will be at Hillsboro Police Department, 22 Municipal Drive, Hillsborough, NH.
Day 2 of Hunter Safety will be at the Deering Fish & Game Club located on Fish & Game Road. Directions provided in class.
Be sure to bring water, snacks, and lunch for the first day of classes. If you need to get lunch, there are several restaurants and stores in the area.
Any minors (under 18) are required to provide parental permission, preferably in writing or with parent present. If you cannot find the link to the parental permission form, please contact the Chief Instructor and one will be provided.
You must attend both class dates (lecture and field day) in order to pass and become certified. If an event prevents you from attending or you need to leave early, please contact the Chief Instructor immediately.
Dress appropriately for field day as we will be outdoors most of the class including walking in the woods. No sandals or open-toe shoes; shorts are not advised.
Bug spray is advisable.
Please bring two pens/pencils for test, notebooks are optional but helpful. Books and classroom materials, if necessary, will be provided. Safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided during live fire. Ball caps are optional for protection against hot shells, but recommended. If you prefer ear muffs or over-glasses eye protection, please bring these.
Upon passing, certificates and patches will be awarded to the student. Email links will also be sent out for students to print additional copies if needed.
