General Class Information
The “Let’s Go Fishing” program is holding a fly fishing class on September 12th & 13th
and 17th at Enfield Outing Club in Enfield N.H. This three-day class is
limited to 12 participants, and registration is on a first come first
served basis. The class is open to anyone age 13 years old and over,
however those 16 and under must accompanied by an adult. All equipment
and gear is provided; however, participants are welcome to bring along
any personal gear as well. No fishing license is required while taking
part in this program.
This weekend long fly
fishing program is designed primarily for first time fly anglers and
beginners. The program will cover the basics of equipment, fly casting,
stream ecology, knot tying safety and fish identification. This program
also features a mentored “on the water” fishing experience with
instructors as well.
Over the past ten years, the
Fish and Game Department’s “Let’s Go Fishing” program has taught
thousands of children and adults to be safe, ethical and successful
anglers. The program is federal funded through the Sport Fish
Restoration Program.
